Precious Pieces: Integrity & Passion
I am a wild Dartmoor Goldsmith/Gemmologist, FGA, DGA, BJA. Though any medium will do!
I have been lucky enough to have lived around the world; it's been a long road, honing my skills and creating wherever I was, from barefoot on the streets of South America, to the stone-setter studios in Florence, studying here in Plymouth, then learning my gemmologist skills at The Association of Gemmology in Hatton Gardens. However, the energy of Dartmoor always pulls me back to where my spirit is, flying somewhere over Pew Tor!
My creativity combines simplicity with energy, the solidity of sculptural with the fluidity of natural, and being inspired by my travels, admittedly the Aztec and Amazon subconsciously appear in my designs, blended with ancient Celtic.
I aim to create ethically sourced pieces: bringing unique exciting expressions of earth's precious materials for the individual's endless enjoyment. And in so doing I wish to contribute proceeds to nature's gift here in Devon, our Dartmoor, to survive; and also help the Yanomami Indians protect the greatest gift, the Amazon.
