A painter and glassmaker for many years, Gill lives and works beside the Tamar. A deep connection to the river — through both environment and ancestry — shapes much of her creative life.

Coming from a long line of seafarers, and spending much of her spare time on or near the water, she is also closely involved in its conservation. These experiences feed directly into her work.

Often working in watercolour and ink, Gill creates delicately observed, historically informed artworks, often focusing on maritime subjects, maps, and coastal life. Her detailed style blends artistic storytelling with archival sensibility.

Her work features in galleries and private collections worldwide, including the V&A, the national galleries of Denmark and Japan, and the Royal Collection. It has also been profiled in a number of publications.
