I’m Jordan Hendrie, an emerging seascape artist based between Cornwall and Devon, working primarily in gouache and watercolour.

My work reflects a lifelong love of the sea and the natural world. As a devoted thalassophile, I aim to create paintings that evoke calm, serenity, and a sense of connection to nature. I’m especially inspired by the changing moods of the ocean and the quiet beauty of coastal landscapes. You’ll often find me by the water, sketchbook or watercolours in hand. As a child, I used to sit and watch The Joy of Painting with my Grandad, whose creativity and encouragement continue to inspire me.

I’ve always felt deeply connected to the ocean. That relationship shapes both my creative practice and my way of life. Painting seascapes and tranquil landscapes allows me to reflect, to breathe, and to translate peaceful moments into something visual and lasting. I’m also passionate about mindfulness and ocean conservation. I believe art can be a gentle form of awareness — a way to hold space for ourselves, for the environment, and for stillness in a chaotic world.

My work is available as originals and prints. I’m open to collaborations, commissions, and exhibition opportunities.
