Kevin Tharme is an abstract and conceptual artist based in the Tamar Valley, Devon. Working primarily with oil, marble dust and mixed media, his practice increasingly moves between painting, poetry, sound and digital composition.

His work often begins with research, observation or a question, exploring subjects including responsibility, human behaviour, environmental pressure, prejudice, empathy and consequence. Rather than providing answers, he creates space for uncertainty, reflection and individual interpretation.

Before working full-time as an artist, Kevin spent more than thirty years running a company in IT and design alongside extensive voluntary work in mental health, environmental and community settings. These experiences continue to inform the way he looks, listens and questions.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and has undertaken Studio Practice and the AGORA Mentoring Programme at Newlyn School of Art.
