Helen Jackson is a talented and passionate photographer whose work captures the rugged beauty and ethereal charm of Dartmoor. Born and raised in Lancashire, England, Helen’s love for photography developed at a young age, inspired by the breathtaking landscapes and ever-changing weather patterns of Scotland and Northumberland where she holidayed with her family.

After studying Design & Technology at the University of Plymouth Helen embarked on a career in engineering but continued her photographic journey, honing her skills and developing a unique style that combines technical precision with artistic flair. Her photographs are characterized by their vivid colours, striking compositions, and the ability to evoke a sense of wonder and tranquillity. Helen’s work often features the rolling hills, ancient woodlands, and mysterious tors that make Dartmoor so enchanting.

Throughout her career, Helen has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Her stunning images have been featured in regional press and online galleries and business publications. Her work also features in Helen’s debut book “Dartmoor’s Disappearing red Telephone Boxes” which documents these iconic structures and tracks their demise.

In addition to her artistic practice, Helen is passionate about sharing her knowledge and inspiring others. She occasionally writes a blog and is developing a programme of workshops and offers one-on-one mentoring sessions, helping aspiring photographers develop their skills and find their own creative voice.
